Bayern Munich Vs Borussia Dortmund: Champions League Final

May 24, 2013   //   by markus   //   News  //  Comments Off

As the season closes we all look to the big final that is yet to be settled in an all German Final at Wembley between favourites Bayern Munich Vs Borussia Dormund who have impressed in this competition.

We begin with the under dogs Borussia Dortmund who have been immense throughout this competition who were on the edge of leaving the competition until two late goals saved them from an exit and they also impressively beat Real Madrid at home 4-1 and won over the two legs to find themselves in the final. Recently they found out that one of their top players Mario Gotze will be missing from the team following an injury and coincidently has agreed a deal to join Bayern Munich in the summer. Although they are missing Gotze they still have big players in Reus and Lewandowski who can make the difference.

Following Bayern Munich’s upset last year where they lost to Chelsea on penalties at their home ground they will be looking to put that behind them and make up for the lost and destroy Borussia Dortmund as strong favourites in this final and after their demolition job on Barcelona it seems that they are they have shifted the European kings on their side and have been amazing throughout the competition beating the likes of Arsenal, Juventus and Barcelona.

I’m going to have to go with Bayern Munich, the strength and depth they have throughout the team is far superior to Borussia Dortmund but we mustn’t rule out their opponents who can be very deadly on the counter.

Champions League: Who Will Reach the Final?

Feb 15, 2013   //   by markus   //   News  //  Comments Off

After the first four games of the champions league were played this week we got an insight this week of who could potentially reach the final.

First of Barcelona are our firm favourites to reach the final as they have the status of being the best team in the world but this competition has shown that this competition can be unpredictable as was shown last year when Chelsea beat the likes of Barca and Bayern undeserving  based on possession and shots on target but this year some new challengers have emerged in Juventus who I personally think can go the whole way who are sitting first in their league and have a 3-0 advantage over their opponents Celtic. But I have been impressed with Juventus’ Passing play and how well they have the balance between defending and attacking.

Also as this looks like the last year for Jose Mourinho and he would love to pick up this trophy but he faces a tough challenge by going to old Trafford with a 1-1 score line. The game could go either way obviously real will be Favourites but united have shown that they can defend well against this team and make some very good opportunities.

We think it will be a Juventus Vs Barcelona Final just like the Euros Spain Vs Italy.

Champions League Draw: Ronaldo Returns

Dec 20, 2012   //   by markus   //   News  //  Comments Off

The Draw took place at 10:44 this morning and what a draw it was, the two remaining English sides in the competition got arguably the hardest games.

Galatasaray v Schalke – First out of the pot and both teams will fancy there chances for this one so it should shape up to be a very good game potentially end to end football if were lucky.

Celtic v Juventus – Neil Lennon’s Boys have a huge task against the Italian giants but Celtic’s record against the Italians is surprisingly good but Juventus are a very good side and are sure to be favourites for this one.

Arsenal v Bayern Munich – This is a really tough tie for Arsenal and I’m sure this was one of the teams they were hoping to avoid. Bayern have a lot of strength and depth and have shown that in there league as they are 9 points clear at the top. Bayern Munich are strong favourites.

Shakhtar v Dortmund – Dortmund have shown they are a force reckoned with as they top the group of death beating both Real Madrid and Manchester City but Shakter have shown some great football so this will be an interesting tie and should be a very good game.

Milan v Barcelona – When these two met last year it was a fantastic game with Barca showing there attacking threat with lots of chances but Milan showed they were no push overs by creating a few chances them self and were very clinical.

Real Madrid v Manchester United – This is the game of the tie with Christiano Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford where he made his career and these two teams are very tightly matched so it should be an absolute cracker of a game.

Valencia v PSG - PSG will probably be expecting to win this one with all the quality players they have brought in and they are sure to strengthen in January.

Porto v Malaga - Both sides will think they can win this both have quality players so it should be a very interesting game.
